The Short of It

Hi, I’m Lee the Founder and Designer of Boni.

I lost the love of clothes shopping, what was once exciting became exhausting.

Every shopping trip ended the same way — hours spent searching through racks, countless trips to the changing room, leaving empty-handed and frustrated.  I started taking less pride in how I dressed and how I felt.   As a petite plus-size woman, I struggled to find clothes that truly fit my body. Pants were too long, tops were oversized in all the wrong places, and dresses lacked the shape and structure I needed.

I found myself settling for clothes that were "good enough" rather than clothes I loved. The excitement of getting dressed disappeared, replaced with frustration, alterations, and compromise.

Then I realised something: the problem wasn't my body. The problem was that the fashion industry wasn't designing for women like me.

Being plus size doesn't mean being taller. Petite women come in all shapes and sizes, yet we are often left trying to make standard sizing work for bodies it was never designed for.

That's why I created Boni.

Boni was born from a desire to help women like me feel seen, understood, and confident. Every piece is designed with the petite plus-size body in mind, with thoughtful proportions that flatter a shorter frame without sacrificing comfort or style.
